I absolutely love vector art. Adobe Illustrator has got to be one of the best programs ever made and the talent of the people using it keeps growing.
Smashing Magazine has a list of some amazing illustrations from around the world. Be sure to check them all out.

Video: Light Art Photography
Photography with light effects is very hard to do. I mean, you can bust out Photoshop and make something similar but to actually manipulate the camera, lens and environment all at the same time takes skill. Check it out.

A Little Inspiration
I’m always on the lookout for great design firms. When you spend as much time on the subject as I do – they all start to look the same.
One firm that has always stood out from the rest to me is Holy Cow Creative. Yes, their designs are great and they are incredibly creative but their overall approach is so much different than any other firms. Even among Christian design firms, they stand out. They realize that what they do has a bigger impact than merely making your next sermon series look cool. Their website and blog are all an extension of their ministry and it is clear to see.
For those of you who think you can’t be openly Christian without losing some street cred, Holy Cow clearly has relevance in a secular world as well. They are featured speakers at the HOW Design Conference and are considered experts on the subject. I simply can’t help but cheer these guys on.
From the scripture references in their ‘about’ section to their online prayer request form, these guys truly understand that what you draw from is much more important than how good you draw.
These guys get it.
